LT was incorporated in October 1990.
What does LT do?
LT Foods, a leading processor and exporter of Rice Foods started as a small trading company in 1965 in a little village named Bhikiwind, Punjab, India. Founded by Shri Raghunath Arora, this trading company became a partnership firm in 1977, under the name of Lalchand Tirathram Rice Mills. In 1984, LT Foods established its first Rice mill at Sonepat (Haryana).
In its early days LT Foods was involved in the milling, processing and marketing of branded basmati rice and rice food products in the domestic and overseas market. In 1980’s the Company launched the ‘Daawat’ brand of packaged basmati rice which today has emerged as one of the popular brand amongst consumers. To make the Daawat’ brand conveniently available across the country, L T Overseas launched the product in attractively packaged and packs of various sizes.
Today LT Foods has 19 brands of which ‘Daawat’ which is flagship brand. Assuring consistent quality products and attractive pricing has catapulted the Daawat’ among the country’s top three Rice brands. The company’s product portfolio consists of Brown Rice, White Rice, Steamed Rice, Parboiled Rice, Organic Rice and Flavoured Rice for now. The company’s R&D cell is constantly striving to launch various rice products to suit the needs of the consumers.
